JAMMU, July 7: A meeting of inhabitants of various units of Jammu Welfare Organisation (JWO) was held under the chairmanship of its president, Kasturi Lal Gupta, at Ward No 64, wherein they raised burning issues of various areas with MLA Raipur-Domana, Bharat Bhushan.
The meeting was attended by presidents of various units in Ward No 64, which include Ashok Kumar (Roop Nagar enclave-B), PL Raina (Durga Nagar Sector-1), Kishore Shangloo (Khatri Mohalla, Durga Nagar), MK Wattal (Roop Nagar Enclave-A), Chand Misri, BL Goja, Kuldeep Sachdeva and Chander Uppal, Chief organizer, JWO.
The issues which were raised in the meeting with the MLA include low voltage, power fluctuations, unscheduled power cuts, repair and replacement of LT wires, upgradation of existing transformers and installation of new transformers at various points.
The issue of bringing the whole area of Ward No 64 as well as Chinore Police Post within the jurisdiction of Police Station, Janipur, was also taken up with the MLA.
The MLA assured the Organisation members to take up their issues with the concerned authorities and provide necessary funds wherever it will be necessary.
