JAMMU, Mar 12: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest demonstration here at New Plot against deteriorating traffic problem.
Scores of activists of JWAM led by its president, Sunil Dimple, raised slogans against the Traffic Police and PWD R&B Department holding them responsible for increasing traffic on Amphalla-High Court Road.
Addressing the demonstrators, Sunil Dimple condemned the PWD R&B Department for putting cemented slabs between the Amphalla-High Court Road, which is already very congested. He alleged that due to these cemented slabs accidents are on the rise and traffic problem has increased manifold.
He urged the Governor NN Vohra to permanently solve the traffic problem on this busy road by constructing flyover from Amphalla to Bantalab and circular roads. He also urged for widening Jammu-Akhnoor Road to ease the traffic rush.
