JWAM leader meets DC, Chief Engineer

JAMMU, July 25: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) leader, Sunil Dimple here today called upon District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and Chief Engineer PWD R&B, Nasir Goni and registered protest against the widening of Amphalla-Janipur road.
The JWAM leader demanded construction of four way circular ring road from Amphalla-Manda to Janipur High Court till Akhnoor and also to start Metro Rail from Amphalla-Janipur to Akhnoor.
Dimple said that the Committee constituted by the Chief Secretary has started process of measurement for widening the Amphalla-New Plot-Janipur road from both sides and revenue teams have started survey for demolition of shops on the road.
He also said that traders are in great stress due to this move of the Government and claimed that it will affect the livelihood of five lakh people running business along both sides of the road.
DC Jammu gave patient hearing to JWAM leader and said the Government has started all round survey to solve traffic problem in Jammu city.
The Chief Engineer, Nasir Goni assured Dimple that he will take up the Ring Road demand with Chief Secretary.
