JWAM delegation meets JMC Commissioner

JAMMU, Dec 14: A delegation of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today met Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Ramesh Sharma and apprised him of the problems faced by the people of Jammu, particularly residents of the West Assembly Constituency.
During the meeting, Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, registered a strong protest with the JMC Commissioner over worst sanitation system in the city. He alleged that the health wing of JMC has totally paralyzed, as the City of Temples and West Assembly Constituency has been turned into city of damps of garbage.
He said various festivals like Christmas, New Year, Lohri and Republic Day are fast approaching but the roads and lanes of Jammu city are in worst conditions, street lights lying defunct and drains as well as nallahs of the constituency are overflowing and dirty water entering into shops and houses of the people.
The JMC Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured early action on the grievances highlighted by the deputation members.
