JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has appealed the Election Commission of India not to postpone the Anantnag by-polls election scheduled to be held on April 12, as demanded by the PDP and Kashmiri leaders.
Addressing a press conference here today, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, said if the Anantnag by-polls are postponed, it will be murder of the democracy. He said that this will not only send a wrong signal in the world community but will prove India a weak country on the international fora.
He said PDP is responsible for the present situation of the Valley and State, which encouraged the anti national activities in State and always supported the separatists and hurriyat leaders in the Valley for anti-India rallies and azadi activities.
Dimple said after setting the State on fire, now the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and PDP is appealing the EC to postpone the Anantnag election on April 12. He said the postponing of the election will only encourage the Pakistan separatist’s forces, and India is not weak to bow before these Pakistani agents.
