JWAM activists hold protest demonstration

JAMMU, Dec 2: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement JWAM) held a protest demonstration amidst shouting of slogans against the poor performance of the traffic monitoring agencies for their failure to solve the traffic problem and worst condition of the roads in the West constituency.
Addressing the demonstrators, JWAM president Sunil Dimple demanded construction of the flyovers at Rehari Chungi and Jewel Chowk and make small parking spots and passenger sheds on all the roads of Jammu city particularly on Janipur High Court road and sheds for the mini buses to pick and drop the passengers.
He demanded the construction of alternative four way circular road from Amphalla Manda to High Court Janipur, to Roop Nagar, Bantalab and from Jewel Chowk to Talab Tillo via Bhagwati Nagar- Canal road to ease the traffic problem on these roads.
He also requested the Government for the widening of the Jewel-Canal road to Purkhu-Akhnoor road.
He also urged for starting of Metro Rail, Mono Rail and construction of Circular roads to solve the traffic problem.
