Sir,
”Apropos write up courts burdened with backlog” in this paper on Aug 5th. I wish to make some more reflections. It is true that number of judges, available in courts for genuine work needs to be earnestly increased. The accumulation of backlog is highly worrying as it is justice negating.
In my opinion, as a litigant for release of retiral dues, for about 15 yrs and yet not decideds, I feel, it is the system of justice delivery, which causes backlog, than the shortage of judges. Granting date after date with no clear objective and without limit, unmindful of time consumed, is the main cause of highly delayed justice, resulting in lot of injustice to a poor and uninfluential litigant.
Yours etc…
