JAMMU, Nov 23: The second batch of DBT HIMCOSTE sponsored Skill Vigyan Program was inaugurated in Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) Waknaghat, Solan.
The inauguration took place in the presence of HIMCOSTE Coordinator Deepshikha Gaur, Prof Sudhir Kumar Head, Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, faculty, staff members and selected enrolled students in the program.
The program would provide skill-based knowledge and training in the domains of Quality Control Biologist and Lab Technician.
The program is aimed for enhancement of laboratory skills to science graduates and 12th passed students making them job-ready and provide employment in the related industries and organizations after certification by National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India.
The students were briefed about the program and infrastructural facilities of JUIT, Waknaghat and Laboratories.
The coordinator of the program Dr Sudhir Kumar expressed his gratitude to Vice Chancellor Prof RK Sharma, Joint Member Secretary Satpal Dhiman and HIMCOSTE for infrastructural and financial support.
