JAMMU, Mar 21: Celebrating 25 years of academic excellence, Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) has emerged as a premier institution in technical education, research and innovation, significantly contributing to positioning Himachal Pradesh as a preferred destination for quality higher education.
In this regard, a press meet was organised by JUIT to highlight their achievements.
Addressing the conference, Prof Tiratha Raj Singh, Associate Dean (Innovation) and Media In-charge, outlined the objective of the interaction and emphasized the university’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality education and nurturing academic excellence among students.
R K Sharma, Registrar and Dean of Students, elaborated on the university’s journey since inception.
He underscored JUIT’s well-structured academic ecosystem, modern infrastructure, residential facilities and vibrant campus life enriched with co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof Rajendra Kumar Sharma highlighted the institution’s vision focused on research, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
He spoke about key initiatives such as the Directorate of Research and Innovation and the advanced Ramanujan Supercomputing Facility, which are fostering interdisciplinary research.
Sharma further noted that JUIT students continue to secure top internships and placements in leading organizations, including Amazon and Google, as well as premier institutions like the IITs.
JUIT continues to strengthen its international standing, being ranked in the 1001-1200 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 and placed 179 in the QS World University Rankings (Southern Asia 2025).
