JAMMU, Apr 8: Terming the Congress-NC coalition as communal and divisive and accusing it of propagating and giving an effect to their exclusivist ideology, BJP candidate from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency and State president Jugal Kishore Sharma today urged the people not to walk into dangerous trap of the coalition candidates.
“It would be suicidal for the people of Jammu province to vote for the coalition candidates,” he said while addressing a series of elections rallies at Jandyal, Thathi, Gharkhal, Pragwal, Sidhra and Bajalta in Akhnoor. He also added that vote for the coalition candidate would mean a vote for the emergence of 1990-like situation in Jammu province and the migration of non-Muslim population out of Jammu province.
Sharma said that an insidious campaign has already been launched by regressive forces in certain parts of Jammu province to terrorize the minority community and it is time the people acted by strengthening the hands of the BJP so that the impending disaster is averted and the evil is nipped in the bud.
Alleging that Congress and NC have been treading a communal path, which does not augur well for the minorities in the State and the nation as a whole, he said, “Defeat of Congress and NC installation of Narendra Modi as PM of the country is a historical necessity.”
Meanwhile BJP Lok Sabha incharge Yudhvir Sethi culminated campaigning in support of Mr Sharma in Jammu East Constituency by visiting various wards. Mr Sethi appealed people to vote for Mr Jugal and strengthen the hands of Mr Modi.
BJP Migrant Cell convener Bharat Bushan Gosani also held campaigning in Durga Nagar, Muthi, Roop Nagar, Janipur, Bohri and other areas of city along with his team seeking vote for Mr Sharma.
BJP leaders S K Ganjoo, Surinder Bhagat, P C Sangra (retd DYSP), Ghulam Nabi, Rampaul,Capt K L Sharma also campaigned in Kangrail, Gangyal, Muthi and other areas of Raipur Damana seeking vote for party candidate.
Former corporator and party Mahila Morcha National Executive Member Sheela Handoo also campaigned in various areas of Raipur Damana segment and appealed people to vote for Mr Sharma.
