Jugal, Arvind promise fast-track development of Vijay Nagar residents during Public Darbar

JAMMU, Apr 5: “Resolution of public issues is my priority, and development is my agenda,” said MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta while addressing a Public Darbar held at Ward No. 40, here at Vijay Nagar today. He assured residents that long-pending works related to basic infrastructure will be taken up on priority and completed in a time-bound manner.
During the Public Darbar locals raised several long-pending civic issues before senior BJP leaders, including MP Jugal Kishore Sharma. A large number of residents participated and highlighted concerns related to water supply, electricity, road connectivity, and other developmental works, many of which have remained unresolved for over two decades.
Responding to the concerns, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma assured the residents that their grievances have been noted and necessary steps will be taken to resolve them at the earliest. He said, “The issues raised by the people are genuine. Several projects are already in the pipeline, and we are committed to ensuring that development reaches every household. The pending works in Vijay Nagar will be taken up on priority.”
MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta further emphasized that the BJP is committed to ensuring holistic development of the area. He said that with proper planning and coordination, works related to roads, water supply, and electricity will be completed soon, bringing long-awaited relief to the residents. He also informed that although works worth around Rs 40 lakh had been executed earlier and pending several key issues will be taken up soon.
Reiterating his commitment, Arvind Gupta said that he has already taken up several of the issues with concerned departments and will personally monitor their progress to ensure timely execution. He emphasized that no area in his constituency will be left behind in development, and special focus will be given to colonies like Vijay Nagar where basic infrastructure has remained pending for years.
Prominent leaders present on the occasion included BJP district president, Rajesh Gupta, former Deputy Mayor Dharam Veer Jamwal, Mandal president, Anil Angral, senior leader Ayodhya Gupta, former corporators Neelam Nargotra and Sanjay Baru, along with Keshav Chopra, Geeta Sodhi, Raj Kumar, and other local residents.
