JUET 2017 conducted successfully

JAMMU, June 20: The University of Jammu today successfully conducted Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET-2017) for admission to various academic programmes (PG/ PG Diploma & Under Graduate) of the University, Main Campus/ Offsite Campuses and Affiliated Colleges for the Academic Session 2017-18.
JUET was conducted at Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Rajouri, Poonch, Srinagar, Leh and Delhi. This was the first time that the Examination Centre was constituted outside the State at Delhi also.
According to a JU spokesman, this year 12321 applicants appeared in the Entrance Test (10566 for PG/PG Diploma Courses and 1755 for Under Graduate Courses) whereas last year 10984 applicants appeared in the Entrance Test (9153 for PG/PG Diploma Courses and 1831 for Under Graduate Courses).
The Exam, which started at 11:00 am and culminated at 01:30 pm, was smoothly conducted with the help of Flying Squad, Observers, Principals of the Colleges, Superintendent of various centres, supervisory and other staff. Police and concerned Administrative Officials also extended full cooperation in the smooth conduct of the Entrance Examination, the spokesman added.
