JAMMU, Mar 17: “Kashmir Trika Philosophy and other Thoughts”, a book written by Late Nand Lal Shah, was released by Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma, here today.
Though, it is not the first book on Trika philosophy of Kashmir yet it is definitely a different one. For better understanding of the basic topic, other auxiliary topics such as self realization, the doctrine of Maya, the concept of Moksha etc have been added in the book, in which the author has also discussed the concept of religion and its relationship with science.
In his address, Prof R D Sharma described the book as valuable in the sense that the author has dealt at length with Kashmir Shaivism. There are diverse topics that the author has discussed to make his treatise a holistic one, he opined.
Earlier, Prof Rakesh Kumar Bhat also expressed his views on the book while Prof Shohab Inayat Malik, president of Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society, said that the author being an advocate has also discussed the buzz word on human rights and rule of law.
