RAJOURI, July 7: Ex-Chairman of the Municipal Council Rajouri, Advocate Mohd Arif today sought intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for directing University of Jammu to conduct interviews for the post of Assistant Professor for Gojri and Pahari subjects, which were advertised in 2023.
Talking to the media persons, here today, he said that Jammu University vide Advertisement Notice No Adm/Two/ C&R/23/231, dated 22-05-2023, had advertised many posts of Assistant Professors for various subjects, including one each for Gojri and Pahari.
“Now it is more than two years since the advertisement, the interviews for both Pahari and Gojri subjects have not been conducted for the reasons best known to the Jammu University and the concerned authority,” he said.
Alleging grave injustice with the Pahari and Gojri people, especially the students who have applied for these posts, Arif said that such kind of discrimination in recruitment is totally unjustified.
He urged the Lt Governor to issue necessary direction in this regard so that interviews for the position of Assistant Professor of Gojri and Pahari are conducted before the advertisement for the same expires.
Others who were present in the press conference, included Sabar Choudhary, Kuldeep Raj, Mohammad Thariq, Sultan Anjum Mirza, Parvaiz Ahmed and Amjed Khan.
