JU scholar attends international seminar in Cambodia

JAMMU, June 21: Rajesh Sharma,  Research Scholar of Department of Buddhist Studies, University of Jammu,  attended an international seminar on “Indo-Cambodian relationship through Buddhism” at Phnom Penh, Cambodia”.
The seminar was organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Preah Sihanouk Raja Buddhist University, Phnom Penh,Cambodia. Rajesh Sharma presented a paper on ” Buddhism in Jammu and Kashmir State with special reference to Paddar (Kishtwar)”.
The international seminar was organized to encourage interdisciplinary approach along with philosophical viewpoint for better understanding of Buddhist culture in India and Cambodia.  It also sought to enhance cooperation in the field of research in Buddhist Culture and encourage scholars from both the countries to come together. The conference was attended by delegates from USA, Thailand, China, Cambodia and Indian Universities.
