JU releases its annual journal ‘Gyananjali’

JAMMU, Aug 6: The University of Jammu today marked another milestone in academic publishing with the release of the latest issue of its annual multilingual research journal ‘Gyananjali’ (Volume II, Issue 2, 2024).
The journal was officially released by Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, at a formal function held on campus.
Gyananjali is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published annually by the University’s Publication Cell.
It serves as a dedicated platform for research and creative writing in multiple languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Dogri, Urdu and Sanskrit.
The journal aims to foster scholarly inquiry into the interrelationship between language, literature and society, while sharpening the critical insights of researchers and expanding their intellectual horizons.
The current issue features six scholarly papers, three in Hindi, two in Punjabi and one in Dogri, reflecting the rich linguistic diversity of the region and the journal’s inclusive vision.
Among the dignitaries, who graced the event included Prof Neelu Rohmetra, chairperson, Press and Publication, Dr Neeraj Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu and Prof Sushma Devi, Dean, Faculty of Arts.
This edition of Gyananjali stands as a testament to the University of Jammu’s dedication to nurturing a scholarly environment that values linguistic diversity and encourages original research and creative expression.
The publication work was overseen by Dr Shashi Prabha, convener, Publication Cell with editorial support from Dr Koshika Sharma.
Members of the editorial board, Dr Pritam Singh, Dr Sandeep Dubey and Dr Harjinder Singh, were also present at the release event.
Their presence underlined the University’s collective commitment to academic excellence and knowledge dissemination.
