JU non-teaching employees observe strike

JAMMU, June 19: Jammu University (JU) non-teaching employees today observed one-day pen down/tool down strike in favour of their long pending demands including release of 7th Pay Commission arrears.
The strike was observed under the banner of Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees’ Union (JUNTEU). The employees suspend their routine work and also staged protest against the authorities for ignoring their long pending genuine demands.
The members of the union including its president Pawan Singh, Manoj Chohan (vice president), Sham lal (general secretary), Jarnail Singh (joint secretary), Joginder Singh (cashier) and other members of the union also participated in the strike.
The Union urged the authorities for fulfillment of their genuine demands at the earliest otherwise they will resort to the path of agitation.
