JAMMU, Dec 13: Non-Gazetted Employee Union of University of Jammu has expressed its anguish over the alleged insensitive attitude adopted by the University authorities towards long pending demands of the employees.
While addressing a press conference, here today, President of the Union, Vijay Kumar highlighted their long pending demands, which included enhancement of Grade Pay of senior employees who have completed 27 years of service, regularization of HGRC employees, granting Grade Pay 1800 approved by the University Counsel, Career Advancement Scheme for Helper and implementation of three tier Career Advancement Scheme as per Kashmir University.
He reminded that former Vice-Chancellor had constituted a Co-ordination Committee to look into their demands and a meeting of NGEU was also held with the committee on October 21, 2020 but the authorities did not take any further interest to resolve the long pending demands of the employees.
The NGEU President appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, who is also Chancellor of the University of Jammu to kindly intervene and issue directions to the JU for taking prompt action on their demands.
