JTC, SKF protest enters 598th day

JAMMU, June 20: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) which has been protesting for 598 days to meet the demands of the community at Jagti township today accused the Government of totally ignoring displaced community.
Addressing the protesters Shadi Lal Pandita president, JTC and SKF has said that we are demanding enhancement of monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month but the UT and Central Government is ignoring the relief holders and forcing the exiled community to hold protest sit-in.
The members are demanding 20,000 jobs for unemployed youth and one Job to those families where no educated youth has got a Government Job, compensation for property loss of 32 years, releasing pending ex-gratia relief of gutted houses, compensation for over aged youth, removal Illegal occupation of land properties of religious places and construction of three townships for rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley.
