JAMMU, July 16: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) have demanded immediate settlement of the demands of the displaced people from the Valley.
It blamed the Government for its failure in addressing the demands of the community in last 36 years of displacement. The meeting demanded that Revenue records of migrants be transferred to Jammu and their encroached property be restored. It further demanded allotment of remaining shops at Jagti township to deserving people who have applied for the same in 2011 and also deposited Rs 15,000 each application. Moreover, the recovery of relief assistance from migrants be stopped, the erratic power supply problem be solved as camp inmates are facing acute shortage of water and renovation of quarters be done immediately.
