JAMMU, Oct 26: A protest dharna was held by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) on the 389th day of their agitation at Jagti township near Nagrota today under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the protesters, Pandita said that they have been protesting for over a year now but the Government is still not meeting the demands. He demanded immediate enhancement of monthly cash relief as the migrants are unable to keep their body and soul together on the meager relief.
He alleged the Government failed to settle the problems of displaced people from Valley for last 32 years and their problems are increasing day by day.
He held Government responsible for the plight of displaced pandits from Valley and urged it to settle the long pending demands of the community at an earliest.
