JAMMU, June 23: A delegation of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita here today and discussed the problems of relief holders with him.
The issue of ration slips and non availability of ration were among the other issues discussed with RC by the delegation.
Mr Pandita was also presented a copy of memorandum to the RC which has been approved and recommended by the Central Government asking the State Government to take appropriate action in settling the demands.
The Relief Commissioner assured the delegation that the ration slips will be made available to all the migrant relief holders within days and ration will also be supplied soon.
Regarding the memorandum Relief Commissioner assured the delegation that the matter will be taken up with the authorities of State as well as Central government for ensuring early redressal of the sufferings of the community.
