JAMMU, May 8: Reiterating that trifurcation of State was only solution for providing justice to each region, Jammu State Morcha has supported the JKNPP’s demand for permanent establishment of two separate Secretariats at Jammu and Srinagar, working throughout the year.
In a joint statement, issued by JSM leader Prof Virender Gupta, Chandra Uday Sharma, Parveen Sharma and Divender Singh Jamwal, the pro-trifurcation outfit stressed that Jammu region was not going to get justice so long it remains part of the J&K. The discrimination against Jammu region people would remain guiding principal of all the State Governments and of all the Kashmiri leaders, they alleged.
The JSM also pooh-poohed the claims of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and his PDP of providing equal development of all regions and alleged that people of Jammu region were always treated as second class citizens in the present political set up. Hence people of Jammu region must change their mindset and struggle for achieving a status of separate statehood for Jammu region as only then they can become the master of their own destiny, the JSM leaders said.
