JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF) concluded its 4th conference at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), here today, with the unanimous election of new office bearers and central committee members.
The two-day conference was attended by around 150 delegates and observers representing various affiliated bank unions and units from across the Jammu region. The inaugural session was attended and inaugurated by C H Venkatchalam, general secretary, All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), who unfurled the AIBEA flag and lit the traditional lamp. The session was presided over by Tara Singh, President of the Federation.
During the organizational session, the conference unanimously elected the new leadership of the Federation. Tara Singh of Punjab National Bank, Currency Chest Narwal, was elected president. Raghav Abrol of Bank of India, Satwari; Lati Ram of Indian Bank, Akhnoor; and Anil Sotra of UCO Bank, Residency Road, were elected as vice-presidents.
Arun Kumar Gupta was elected as general secretary of the Federation. Yogesh Kumar of Canara Bank, Bakshi Nagar, and Harminder Singh of Central Bank of India, RS Pura, were elected as secretaries. Avtar Singh of Punjab & Sind Bank, Nanak Nagar, was elected as organizing secretary.
The Conference also elected Sachin Hans of PNB, Durga Nagar; Sonu Kumar of Bank of Baroda, Purani Mandi; and Sahil Samnotra of Union Bank of India, Raghunath Bazar, as assistant secretaries. Lucky Jamwal of Canara Bank, Rehari Colony, was elected treasurer.
In addition, Karan Dogra (PNB, Domana), Kewal Kumar (Canara Bank, Narwal), Anil Verma (CBI, Gandhi Nagar), Mukesh Verma (Punjab & Sind Bank, Simbal Morh), and Sanjeev Sucha (Bank of Maharashtra, Bari Brahmana) were elected as central committee members.
