AKHNOOR, Aug 5: Two journalists were allegedly attacked on the Jammu-Poonch Highway while they were returning home from Dumi area late on Monday night.
According to reports, around 10:30 PM on Monday, two TaTa Mobile vehicles intercepted journalists Atul Sudan and Ashwin Bhardwaj’s car near Dumi and attacked them.
They were returning to their home in Thathi area when the incident happened, reports said.
They said the armed accused, who were 25-30 in number, attempted to drag the journalists out and later vandalised their vehicle.
The journalists narrowly escaped by fleeing the scene, reports said.
Taking cognizance of the matter, police have registered a case FIR under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Kahnachak and started further investigation into the matter.
