JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu Opticians’ Association (JOA) organized first ever ‘optical conference’ in Jammu on Sunday.
The conference was organized in association with Bausch & Lomb India Private Limited and Essilor India Private Limited, manufacturer of Crizal lenses. All opticians of Jammu region attended the conference.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker of Legislative Assembly, was the chief guest of the event. In his address, Kavinder said that these kinds of events help to upgrade the trade and industry.
Earlier, Amit Jandyal, president, Jammu Opticians’ Association, presented welcome address and vice-president, Aman Jain, highlighted new perspectives in optical industry.
Moreover, Lifetime achievement award was presented to Parkash Chand Jain for his long term contribution in optical industry.
Technical sessions regarding dispensing of contact lenses and optical lenses were given by Bausch and Lomb India Private Limited and Essilor India Private Limited, respectively.
Prominent among others present were Sanjeev Saini (secretary), Ankush Sharma (cashier), Parmod Jain, Kuldeep Gupta, Bihari Kak, Sumit Jandyal and other leading opticians.
