JAMMU, July 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) conducted separate drives and imposed penalty on the erring establishment owners, here today.
During the tour conducted in zone 1st of JMC area (Indira Chowk), the establishment owners who were creating insanitary condition and had encroached the Municipal area , were compounded and a fine of Rs 5700 was collected from them.
Along with Municipal Magistrate, the JMC team comprised of Vijay Kumar (SO Zone 1), Subash Chander (Sanitary Inspector), Raj Kumar Sharma( Sanitary Inspector) and Vivek Sood (Sanitary Inspector).
Meanwhile, Health wing of JMC conducted drive against polythene in Zone III and seized one kg banned single use plastic and polythene bags besides imposing a fine of Rs 1100 . Further Rs 6000 fine was imposed for C&D waste and thus a total fine of Rs 7000 was imposed on the violators in Nanak Nagar area.
The JMC team comprised of Purshotam Kumar (SO Zone 3rd), Kasturi Lal, Joginder Singh, Subash Gill and Charanjeet Joshi.
