JAMMU, Dec 6: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), in collaboration with Gracious Givers, organized a cloth donation drive under its RRR (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) initiative at the Annashetra Food Bank, Trikuta Nagar, Ward No. 54. The event, led by JMC’s Swachhta Brand Ambassador Nidhi Abrol, witnessed active participation from both the public and JMC officials.
Dr. Divya Sharma, IEC Head, JMC, along with her team, took part in the drive, emphasizing the corporation’s commitment to supporting underprivileged communities. Clothes, shoes, and food were donated to those in need, embodying the spirit of compassion and social responsibility.
Abrol expressed gratitude towards the contributors and emphasized the importance of such drives in bridging societal gaps. Dr. Divya Sharma assured continued JMC cooperation for such noble initiatives, highlighting the need for sustainable practices to foster a better lifestyle.
The event also included interactive sessions where beneficiaries shared their experiences and expressed gratitude. Volunteers from various NGOs and local organizations joined hands with JMC to further extend the drive’s outreach.
