JMC Councillor inaugurates lane-drain work

JAMMU, Aug 20: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Parmodh Kapahi today inaugurated lane-drain work at Mohinder Nagar in Ward 14 at the cost of Rs 2 lakh.
Lanes and drains of the area were in dilapidated condition since long and the residents there especially the old persons were facing problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Kapahi appealed the public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works.
He urged upon the residents to avoid single use plastic in routine work and stop throwing debris, garbage, filth etc in public drains.
The JMC Councillor further asked the public to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean, green and beautiful city.
Locals present on the occasion were U.S Rai, Sagal Kant, Gulzar Singh, Deepak Aggarwal, R.K Uppal, Waryam Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Gourav, Sahil and JE JMC, AEE JMC and others.
