JAMMU, Feb 12: To discuss the burning demands of the traders, a meeting of Janipur Market Association (JMA) was held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of its president, R C Bali and chairman, Raman Bakshi.
During the meeting, traders raised the issues of increasing thefts in the area, flourishing drug trade, traffic jam at the main chowk Janipur, which is out of control.
The president requested the Administration and the Traffic Department to issue directions for the clearance of traffic jam in the area at earliest.
Bali further stressed the traders to close their shops up to 11 pm during the winter season and 11.30 pm during summer season.
Among others who attended the meeting included Sunil Bhasin, Ashok Babbar, Puran Chand and Nand Kishore.
