JKTMA demands DPC to fulfil vacant posts

JAMMU, Apr 19: Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association (JKTMA) held meeting under the chairmanship of its president Rakesh Singh and general secretary Vivek Gupta and discussed various issues pertaining to transfer policy and DPC of teacher community.
The president of the Association, Rakesh Singh hailed the functioning of Administrative Secretary BK Singh regarding transfer of lecturers in most transparent manner and expressed hope that transfer list of general line teachers would be issued soon.
He further demanded that the list of transfer such as inter-district, on marriage ground and spouse posting should be released before the general list.
Vivek Gupta while speaking on the occasion demanded that the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of all the cadres of teaching staff should be done before the month of June to fulfil the vacant posts particularly in rural areas, while vice president of the Association said that the post graduate degrees obtained by the teachers after December, 2005 through distance mode should not be entertained during the DPC by keeping in view the Govt order no. 252 -HE and SRO 339.
District president Ajay Kumar urged the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur to issue necessary instructions to all the officers of the district for releasing duty slips of teachers who performed their duties during COVID-19 pandemic in previous year as the School Authority is demanding the same.
