JAMMU, Dec 4: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’Joint Action Committee ( JKTJAC) led by UT President Vinod Sharma called on Principal Secretary School Education Suresh Kumar Gupta in his office chamber in the Civil Secretariat Jammu and submitted a memorandum.
While meeting with Gupta, Vinod Sharma raised the issue of extension of date for one time exemption in enhanced higher qualification as many teachers have been left due to late receiving of their degrees/bona-fide from concerned universities.
He also demanded filling up of vacant posts of CEOs/ ZEOs/Principals/ Headmasters in headless offices/schools for the smooth functioning of the department.
Principal Secretary listened the deputation quite patiently and assured to fill all the vacancies of ZEOs, Principals and Headmasters before concluding of this month. He also assured to issue order for extension of one time exemption within a couple of days.
Later JKTJAC Deputation also met with Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma and projected the genuine and burning issues of the teaching fraternity.
Those who were part of the deputation included, Sukesh Khajuria (UT Press and Media Secy), Khazan Singh (UT coordinator), Ravinder Manhas (Distt president Jammu) Sandeep Sharma , Sethu Pal, Nar Singh, Omkar Verma, Mair Chand, Hoshnak Kumar and others.
