UDHAMPUR, Jan 7: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee has demanded release of salary grants under Elementary Head to the employees of School Education Department.
Issuing a statement, here today, JKTJAC UT President Vinod Sharma said that although salary grants under Secondary Head for the month of December have been released but the salary grants under Elementary Head in favour of thousands of employees of Education Department have not been released yet thereby making them suffer .
He said that employees are totally dependent on their salaries and they have to pay EMIs of their loans besides meeting out expenses of the education of their children, medicines of their parents and many more.
He said: “This delay in releasing the salary grants has shaken the financial condition of the employees”. He appealed the Director Finance School Education Department and Finance Department to release the salary grants immediately so that these employees may not suffer.
“Festival of Lohri and Makar Sankranti are approaching and the concerned authorities are urged to release salary grants so that the families of these employees are able to celebrate these festivals enthusiastically,’ he added.
