JAMMU, May 19: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by UT President Vinod Sharma, called on Director School Education Jammu Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary and raised several burning issues of the teachers.
Vinod Sharma submitted a memorandum to the Director seeking conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II / III whose cases are pending; allocation of substantive posts to the teachers Grade II as per their seniority; issuance of regularisation orders of the ReTs (EVs converted ReTs) as some files are lying in DSEJ; change of school timing in winter zones of Jammu Province; keeping at least two teachers in each Primary Schools and issuance of mutual transfer list of teachers appointed under ReT scheme.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC representatives.
He further informed that conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III is on card and soon the orders will be issued. Regarding change of school timing, he said that CEOs have been directed to take up the matter with the concerned DCs for appropriate action.
