JAMMU, July 24: In an emergency meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, held here today under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, along with the senior executive members of JKTF, a great concern and resentment was shown over the alleged mal-practices and illogical transfers of Teachers from the other Districts to the Jammu favouring the blue eyed and influential Teachers who have managed their adjustments in the heart of the Jammu city, on the pretext of Medical / Health / Security grounds.
“The pick and choose policy adopted by the authorities of School Education Department to favour their near & dear ones has raised many questions among those Teachers who are suffering since more than one decade working in the far flung, rural, border and remote hilly areas and waiting for their transfers to their home towns,” said Ganesh Khajuria.
He alleged that a sizable number of Teachers are enjoying their posting on the key posts nearest to their residences for more than five years to ten years whereas the general teachers are waiting for the Annual Transfer Derive under a transparent and clear cut Transfer policy which can provide them justice and a sigh of relief to these helpless teachers.
Ganesh Khajuria lambasted at the J&K Govt for creating a mess in the School Education Department, adopting the pick & choose policy and the mal-practices to favour their blue eyed near & dear ones at the cost of those dedicated teachers who are genuinely suffering since last so many years.
He warned the authorities sitting at the helm of affairs to desist from adopting such mal-practices. “Reverse all such transfer orders and conduct the ATD – 2025 as per the set norms within ten days otherwise the Forum will chalk out the next program to fight for the genuine and legitimate rights of the teaching fraternity, ” he said
