JKTF protests against violation of transfer policy in ATD-2022

UDHAMPUR, June 20: To express the annoyance over alleged gross violations of transfer Policy in the recently issued transfer list of Masters under ATD-2022, one day protest demonstration was held by the District Udhampur unit of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, under the leadership of Ravinder Tripathi, District President.
Held at the Mini Stadium Udhampur, the protest demonstration was organized on the direction of JKTF Chairman Ganesh Khajuria and attended by Masters and Teachers from different parts of Udhampur district.
Darshan Sharma, State Secretary; Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Provincial President Jammu; Kuldeep Verma, General Secretary; P D Singh, Provincial Chief Organizer and Gautam Singh, Provincial Chief Coordinator also joined the protest and addressed the gathering.
All the speakers strongly criticized the pick and choose approach adopted by the authorities in transferring the Masters and benefitting their blue-eyed.
Ravinder Tripathi lambasted the authorities for centralizing all the powers at the secretariat level which is the root cause of all the existing problems. He demanded decentralization of powers to the subordinate officers as per the past practice in order to provide justice to the teaching community and also for the smooth and fair functioning of Department. He appealed the authorities to address the issues at the earliest otherwise the protests will continue at District Headquarters on rotation basis.
As decided by Core Committee of JKTF the third phase protest will be held at Kathua District of Jammu Division and Baramulla District of Kashmir Division on June 24.
The speakers said that JKTF was not against the ATD of teaching community but they feel astonished to see so many flaws and loopholes in the recently issued transfer list of Masters under ATD-2022 which have resulted into the problems.
The Forum leaders appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to personally intervene into the matter and take necessary corrective measures to set the things right in order to provide justice to the aggrieved Masters and avoid further chaos and confusion.
