JAMMU, Aug 21: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) Ganesh Khajuria along with senior leaders including UT vice president Surat Toofani, president district Jammu Bharat Bhushan Sharma, zonal president zone Jammu Pawan Sharma, zonal president Chowki Choura Rakesh Singh and Ashwani Sharma visited Mallah a far flung area of district Jammu and held a meeting with teachers of the area.
The meeting was attended by almost all the teachers of the area and the local issues of the Education Department were highlighted by all the speakers. The meeting was also attended by the Sarpanch of Panchayat Mallah who appealed the Chairman for providing teaching staff in the schools of the area as they are under staff and even all the High Schools are functioning without Headmasters.
In another meeting attended by the JKTF chairman and his team at Dak Bungalow Sunderbani, which was organized by the team JKTF Rajouri and was also attended by prominent leaders of JKTF Rajouri including district president Rajouri Mohd Sayeed, Mohd Mustasin Malik (zonal chairman Dharal) and some zonal presidents of district Rajouri, strengthening of JKTF at grass root level and various strategies regarding upcoming calendar of protests in favour of Old pension scheme and scrapings of NPS were discussed.
Ganesh Khajuria appealed the activists to strengthen the Forum at grassroot level and keep themselves ready for struggle to restore old pension scheme. A large number of masters and teachers attended the meetings.
