JAMMU, Oct 21:Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum (JKTF) today held a meeting here under the chairmanship of its State general secretary, Ganesh Khajuria, to highlight the demands of the teachers.
Various speakers spoke on the occasion and highlighted their demands, which included adjustment and posting orders of promotees from Master to Headmasters, immediate adjustment of newly promotees from Teacher to Master grade and conducting DPC of teachers and masters in all subjects for promotional benefits.
The meeting also demanded to bring all the masters who have completed their two years tenure in far flung areas, back home.
The meeting urged the Education Department to redress their grievances as soon as possible, as the delay has created a resentment and frustration among the teaching community.
Those who attended the meeting were Rajinder Gupta, Gopal Singh, Dirdous Wani, Kuldeep Singh, Satish Dutta, Surjit Singh, Raj Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Darshan Sharma and many others.
