REASI, Dec 16: The Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) convened a crucial meeting of Teachers from all six zones of district Reasi, here today, under the chairmanship of Bhupinder Singh, UT president of JKTA.
Teachers from Chinkah, Mahore, Reasi, Chasana, Pouni, and Arnas, actively participated in the meeting and highlighted the issues being faced by them. During the meeting, new faces were also inducted in district and zonal bodies to strengthen JKTA’s organizational structure.
The newly elected members included; District Chairman Bharat Singh Naag, District Vice President Govind Singh, District Chief General Secretary Kapoor Chand, District Advisor Khajoor Singh, District Chief Advisor Rattan Lal Sharma, District Special Advisor Sudesh Singh, Joint Secretary Vijay Singh, District Coordinator Angrez Singh, District Organiser Som Raj, District Advisor Pawan Sharma, Zonal Presidents Zone Chinkah Hari Singh and Zone Reasi Rakesh Sharma.
While addressing the meet, Bhupinder Singh highlighted genuine issues requiring immediate attention. He demanded inclusion of five-year service of teachers appointed under RET scheme for promotion and seniority benefits, transfer of female Teachers (RET) on marriage grounds, adjustment of promoted trained Graduate teachers to the role of Master, expediting the clearance of essential files, filling all vacant posts of ZEOs.
Senior vice president Akhtar Abbas, vice chairman Javed Chouhan, provincial president (Female Wing) Poonam Thakur, provincial vice president Tirth Balwal, District president (DP) Reasi Sajad Malik, DP Kishtwar Mohinder Singh, Chairman Udhampur Surjeet Singh, DP Jammu (Female Wing) Madhu Sambyal, secretary Kapoor Chand, Summit Khajuria, and Ravi Kumar also addressed the meet.
