JKSPA slams Union Budget as ‘uninspirational’

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 3: The J&K State Pensioners Association (JKSPA) president Krishan Singh today described the recent Budget proposal of the Government of India for the year 2026-27 as highly uninspirational for the working classes as well as for the toiling masses, like all previous budgets.
B L Khajuria, general secretary and Om Prakash, organiser of JKSPA have also said the present budget is not in favour of the working classes.
The association said that the prices of all types of essential goods of daily consumption are rising day by day. As such, the hard-earned salaried pensioners and employees are required to be looked after seriously during such economic affairs.
Khajuria said that the association has also sought enhancement of Medical Allowance from the existing paltry rate of Rs 300/- to at least Rs 1000/- per month on priority, as the Medicare expenses are soaring phenomenally day by day on the same patterns of the employees and pensioners of UT of Ladakh and Central Government employees and pensioners.
