JAMMU, Mar 8: J&K State Pensioners Association (JKSPA) today demanded the Government to enhance medical allowance of the pensioners.
In a statement issued, JKSPA president, Krishan Singh urged upon the Union Government for enhancement of medical allowance from present paltry rate of Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month at least which is being paid to Central Government employees as well as pensioners.
They also requested the Government and the Union Government for release of withheld DA installments w e f January 2020.
Singh demanded that all the pensioners may be exempted from the Annual Income Tax and appealed to the PM for ensuring the formal functioning of Central Pay Commission though announced, till date no head of the commission and members have been nominated by the GoI.
