JAMMU, Feb 3: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir (NG) Statistical Employees Association (JKSEA) called on the Minister for Planning and Development, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and discussed the issues of the employees with him today.
Led by its president, PS Jamwal, the delegation comprising of Jaswant Singh and Showkat Shah vice presidents and Ravinder Singh- general secretary, extended congratulations to Mr Sadhotra on being inducted as Cabinet Minister. The members had detailed discussion on the issues of the Statistical/ Planning employees and sought their redressal.
They demanded filling up of three posts of Joint Directors, 65 posts of Dy Directors, 28 posts of Assistant Directors and other many posts of Non-Gazetted category which are lying vacant for the last several years in the department . They said that work has been badly hit in the department due to these vacant posts. The delegation also pointed out that Human Resource Management Cell was lying headless in the Planning and Development department since long. They also sought removal of pay anomaly in the pre-revised grade of Statistical/ Planning personnel.
The Minister gave patient hearing and assured the delegation that the matter will be looked into and resolved as soon as possible.
