JAMMU, Apr 28: Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) today sought intervention of Lieutenant Governor and his Advisor to save the fast deterioration of newly constructed 10 bedded hospital’s building at Rohi Morh, Gadi Garh.
President of JKSAC, Gurdev Singh said that the same hospital building was constructed by the erstwhile Government nearly seven years back but the newly constructed building of the hospital is still not functioning properly due to non availability of the sufficient manpower.
“The Health Department authorities was apprised repeatedly by the locals and JKSAS for providing needed staff and infrastructure to start the functioning of the new constructed hospital but nothing happened so far. It is evident from the fact that the wild grass has grown inside and on the roof the building which lead to cracks on floor and walls,” he said.
The issue was even brought in the notice of SDM South for taking cognizance but no attention was paid toward it. Instead of providing proper infrastructure and health staff, only whitewash was done to hide the cracks.
General secretary, Netar Parkash appealed the Government to vacant big chunk of land measuring nearly 100 Kanals falling under Khasra number 1560 in and around the Rohi Morh from the state land or evacuee land for welfare of locals as well as DPs.
They appealed the Lieutenant Governor to take cognizance of the problem and issue necessary directions to Health department for equipping this hospital with manpower so that the locals can take the benefit of the building for which it was meant.
