JAMMU, Apr 7: All J&K Pujari, Jyotshi and Shastri Sangh (JKPJSS) has strongly condemned the cremations in front of the Shiva Temple in Purmandal and appealed the authorities concerned to ensure speedy implementation of the order banning cremations in front of the temple.
The Sangh said that orders banning cremations in front of the Shiva Temple stand issued but unfortunately the cremations are still going on at the prohibited site hurting badly the religious sentiments of the devotees.
The JKPJSS requested the authorities to ensure speedy implementation of the ban orders in view of coming festivities. The Sangh also appealed the general public to desist from holding cremations beneath Shiva Temple complex, as the same is in no way in public interest and rather tells badly upon the sanctity of the shrine.
