JAMMU, May 30: Sugges-ting the Government over de-freezing 10 Assembly seats from amongst the 24 seats belonging to PoK, Satish Poonchi, chief patron of Jammu Kashmir People’s Front (JKPF), said that political parties and Government are befooling the people over delimitation issue.
Talking to media persons he said the Government has simply to issue ordinance to make functional 10 seats and make the House of 97 seats. He said if BJP was sincere why it did not defreeze 10 Assembly seats. He also raised the issue about status of PoK refugee and asked the Government to immediately declare and confirm their status as refugees or Internally Displaced Persons as per Indian Constitution of refugee settlement.
He issued a warning to the Government of self-immolation on August 15, 2016, if the Government did not take cognizance of the demands of PoK refugees.
Others present in the press conference were Satish Sawhney, Suresh Kumar Chadha, Romesh Lal Bhagat, Usha Rani etc.
