JAMMU, Mar 20: An emergency session of various unions of casual labours of different departments was held under the banner of J&K National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) to discuss the problems faced by them.
While addressing the press conference Trade Union leader Mohammad Gafoor Dar condemned the anti-workering class order which has spoiled the carrier of thousands of casual labours and need base workers and urged the State Government not to disturb the services of these poor casual labours who have already suffered a lot at the hands of the Government.
It was discussed that on April 15, 2015 casual labours and need base workers of all the departments from all the districts of the State will march towards Civil Secretariat, Jammu under the slogan ” Jammu Chalo” program.
The demands of immediate withdrawal of Government order no 384-GAD of 2015 dated 17-03-2015, regularization policy for casual labours and need base workers who have been engaged after 1994 in various Government departments till March 2014 and payment of their wages proper wages head and regularization of left over daily wagers of Forest PHE, Rural Development, Agriculture and Power Development engaged prior to 1994 were highlighted.
