JAMMU, Jan 10: Reacting strongly over the cancellation of permission to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Medical Institute of Excellence at Katra, the Student Union of J&K National Conference held a protest demonstration here today.

Led by Provincial president, Harsh Vardhan Singh, a large number of JKNC’s Student Union members assembled near Press Club/Dogra Chowk here and held protest demonstration. They were opposing the cancellation of permission to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Medical College by the Medical Council of India. He called it a “black day” for Jammu and demanded apology from BJP’s, saying they’re playing politics with education and healthcare.
Harsh Vardhan urged people to come together, regardless of religion or caste, to fight against this decision and ensure that Jammu’s future is not compromised. The protest was attended by a diverse group, including Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians, united in their demand to reopen the college.
He urged all the stakeholders to unite and fight for the college’s reopening, ensuring the future of Jammu’s youth is protected. After holding protest while carrying banners and placards in hands, the JKNC Youth and Students wing activists dispersed.
Prominent among those who attend the protest, including Province sectaries, working president, District president, Block presidents, and other members +9from various areas like Reasi, Kathua, RS Pura, Udhampur and Jammu province.
Some notable names include- Dheeraj Sasan, Manohar Khajuria, Diljit Singh, Mohit Basant, Mohit Thakur, Waris Wani, Manohar Khajuria, Jineet Singh Sodi, Sahil Sharma, Adnan Kunjwani, Aditya Bhagat and others.
