JKMEF to resume strike from tomorrow

JAMMU, Nov 18: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) has decided to resume its strike that was suspended on August 5 this year after reaching an agreement with then Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Health and Medical Education Department on Departmental Promotion Committee of all categories of Health employees and amendment in SRO -20.
This was announced today by Sushil Sudan (president JKMEF) while addressing a press conference at Press Club Jammu. He said as per the agreement, the DPC rules were to be framed within 15 days but till date it was not done and the administrative department totally failed to frame the rules of promotion.
Sudan said that the strike will be resumed from November 20 at Directorate of Health Services complex, Jammu and after that chain hunger strike will be started from November 23 with mighty force to awake the administration in slumber.
