JKMEF delegation meets Director Health, discusses employees’ key issues

JAMMU, Apr 1: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Jammu province held a meeting with newly appointed Director Health Services Jammu, Dr Abdul Hameed Zargar and discussed pressing issues of employees.
The meeting, led by JKMEF Chairman Sushil Sudan and Jammu division president Jaswinder Singh, brought together leaders and representatives from sister organizations to deliberate on key demands of the employees.
A key focus of the discussions was employee welfare and working conditions. Healthcare workers raised concerns about inadequate staffing, long working hours, and delays in salaries and promotions. They stressed the need for regularization of contractual employees and improved job security for temporary workers. The Federation urged the Director to prioritize these issues to enhance overall healthcare delivery.
Additionally, the JKMEF underscored the need for strengthening healthcare infrastructure, particularly in peripheral and inaccessible areas of the Jammu Division. Attendees emphasized the importance of upgrading medical facilities, improving the availability of essential medical equipment, and ensuring uninterrupted supplies of medicines and other critical resources. The Federation highlighted the need for better accessibility and services in rural and remote areas where healthcare remains a challenge.
The Federation called upon the Director to take immediate action to address these pressing concerns and ensure better healthcare services for the people of Jammu.
The meeting saw participation from a large number of healthcare representatives, including members of various associations advocating for better working conditions and improved medical facilities.
