JAMMU, July 1: A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), led by its president Jaswinder Singh, today called on the newly appointed Block Medical Officer (BMO) RS Pura, Dr Balwinder Singh, to discuss several pressing issues concerning medical employees in the region.
During the meeting, the JKMEF delegation raised three major concerns: the timely disbursement of regular salaries to employees, implementation of a proper roster system for medical staff, and resolution of the long-pending two-and-a-half-day salary issue. These issues, the delegation stressed, are essential for ensuring the morale and efficiency of medical personnel serving at Government healthcare institutions.
Jaswinder Singh, while talking to BMO, reiterated the unwavering commitment of medical employees towards their duties. He emphasized that the staff remains dedicated to delivering healthcare services with transparency, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility. The delegation underscored their collective mission of ensuring that every patient—especially the underprivileged—receives proper treatment and full access to Government healthcare benefits.
The delegation also included Sushil Soodan, Chairman of JKMEF, and several notable members of the medical fraternity and Pharmacy Council of India. Among those present were Perfulat Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Tajinder Singh, Sorab Bakshi, Gagan, Vikram Randhawa, Kulwant Singh, Subash Sharma, Neelam Kumari and Surjeet.
The meeting concluded on a constructive and positive note, with the BMO assuring the delegation of his full cooperation in resolving the issues raised.
